Bad Jobs Versus Good Jobs: Does It Matter for Life and Job Satisfaction?

Using panel data from the National Employment, Unemployment and Underemployment Survey (ENEMDU) for Ecuador, we analyze outcomes of life job satisfaction whether moving bad to a good job—and vice versa—on satisfaction. In contrast with jobs, jobs are characterized by being employed in formal sector, social security registration, earning at least minimum wage. conditional logit estimate, found that workers who move increase 9.5%, whereas when transition is job, decreases 8.5%; terms gender, effect greater men than women.
